Overview Paris polyphylla, also known as Seven-leaf and One-branch flower, is the dry rhizome of Paris polyphylla, a plant of the genus Paris polyphylla in the trillium family. The analysis of its chemical components showed that the steroidal saponins contained in Paris were the main chemical components. The steroidal saponins contained in Paris polyphylla are the material basis of its efficacy. Recent studies have found that Paris polyphylla has anti-tumor effect by blocking neovascularization in tumor. It can not only resist tumor, but also reverse the drug resistance of Chemicalbook tumor. The mechanism of Paris polyphylla killing tumor cells is to induce tumor cell apoptosis. Parietal saponin V is one of the important monomers of Parietal extract and has good anticancer effect. Parietal saponin monomer V showed a good anti-tumor effect on colon cancer cells in vitro. Compared with oxaliplatin, the commonly used anti-tumor drug at present, Paris saponin V has strong anti-tumor properties on colon cancer cells and has the potential to become an effective anti-tumor drug.
Biological activity: Prosapogenin A is a natural product of veratrol. It can induce apoptosis of human cancer cells in vitro by inhibiting STAT3 signal pathway and glycolysis.
Chemical properties: derived from the Chinese double tower, asparagus lettuce, dioscorea zingiberensis, dioscorea dioscorea
