Use: Guanidine thiocyanate can be used as biochemical reagent and pharmaceutical intermediate. It is used for degreasing in oil and fat industry, as a strong fat degradation agent in daily chemical industry, and as a cell membrane breaking agent in biopharmaceuticals.

Application in the field of chemical depilatory agent: chemical depilatory agent is a kind of depilatory agent that can soften hair, reduce hair strength, and wipe off or wash off hair in 2~6 minutes. Because the composition of hair dry is similar to that of skin, chemical depilatory agents will inevitably damage the skin, so depilatory agents are listed as cosmetics for special purposes. Mercaptoacetic acid unhairing agent is the main unhairing agent nowadays, which gradually replaces sulfide unhairing agent. The depilatory active substances used in this type of depilatory agent are mercaptoacetic acid and its salts, mercaptopropionic acid and its salts, mercaptolactic acid and its salts. In terms of performance and price, thioglycolic acid and its salts are mainly used as depilatory active substances.
