Polyphyllin VII（68124-04-9）

Biological activity: Parisaponin VII (Chonglou Saponin VII) is a steroidal saponin isolated from the root and rhizome of Trillium tschonoskii Maxim. The apoptosis of K562/ADR cells induced by Parissaponin VII is related to the inhibition of Akt/p38MAPK and P-gp. PaChemicalbookrissaponin VII attenuates mitochondrial membrane potential, increases the expression of apoptosis-related proteins (Bax and cytochrome c), and reduces the protein expression levels of Bcl-2, caspase-9, caspase-3, PARP-1 and p-Akt. Parissaponin VII induces strong autophagy in K562/ADR cells, which can be used for the study of leukemia.
