Overview ergosterol glycoside is an oxyglycoside in glycosides, also known as piloside and piloside. Stable under acidic conditions; The stability is poor under neutral and alkaline conditions, but its degradation can be significantly inhibited by adding appropriate amount of ascorbic acid. It mainly exists in some medicinal plants used in , such as Cistanche, Forsythia, Rehmannia and Orobang. Ergosteroside has strong biological activity and multiple effects. It has the functions of anti-aging, improving immune function, enhancing memory, relieving pain, lowering blood fat and defecating.

Chemical properties: almost white or light yellow crystalline powder, soluble in methanol, derived from Chinese cabbage (black content of hard cistanche is up to 0.47%), purple pearl, plantain seed, rehmannia glutinosa, cistanche deserticola, purple bamboo leaves.
