Introduction: Naringin is the aglycone of naringin, belonging to dihydroflavonoid compound. It is white acicular crystal (methanol) at normal temperature, soluble in ethanol, ether and benzene, and almost insoluble in water. The reaction of magnesium hydrochloride powder is cherry red, the reaction of sodium tetrahydroborate is red purple, and the reaction of molish is negative. In nature, it mainly comes from the bud of Prunus syedoensis Mate, a rose plant, and the core and shell of the fruit of Amacardi-umoccidentale L. The parent structure of flavonoids is similar, and most components are not ideal in fat-solubility and water solubility, and their bioavailability is low. By modifying its structure and introducing a group with strong fat-solubility or water-solubility, its fat-solubility or water-solubility can be improved, thus improving its bioavailability. Its structural modification mainly includes the alkylation, acylation, sulfonation, glycosylation of hydroxyl groups and the formation of metal complexes.
Application: naringin has antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, cough and expectorant, blood lipid lowering, anticancer and anti-tumor, spasmolysis, free radical scavenging, prevention and treatment of liver disease, inhibition of platelet coagulation, anti-atherosclerotic and other functions, and can be widely used in medicine, food and other fields. 1. Antibacterial: It has strong antibacterial effect on Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli, dysentery and typhoid bacillus. Naringin also has effects on fungi. Spraying 1000ppm on rice can reduce the infection of rice blast fungus by 40-90%, and has no toxicity to humans and livestock. 2. Anti-inflammatory: rats were injected with 20mg/kg intraperitoneally every day, which significantly inhibited the inflammatory process caused by the implantation of wool balls. 3. Anticancer: It has activity against rat leukemia L1210 and sarcoma. 4. Antispasmodic and cholagogic: It is the one with strong effects among flavonoids. Naringin also has a strong effect on increasing the bile secretion of experimental animals.
