Use: harmine, also known as haline or halmin. Colorless crystal or white crystalline powder. The melting point is 262~263 ℃. It is insoluble in water and difficult to dissolve in general organic solvents. Its salts have blue fluorescence. It is extracted from the seeds of Peganum harmala of Tribulus family. It has been used as a central nervous stimulant.
Chemical properties: yellow crystalline powder, soluble in methanol, ethanol, DMSO and other organic solvents, derived from the seeds of Peganum harmala, a plant of the genus Peganum in Tribulus family.
