Overview: Schisandrin B is one of the common lignans in the plants of Schisandra in Magnoliaceae. The varieties of Schisandra included in the Chinese Pharmacopoeia in 2010 are Schisandra chinensis (North Five Chemicalbook) and South Schisandra chinensis (Central China Schisandra). It can protect the liver and reduce the activity of alanine aminotransferase. This information is edited and sorted by Chemicalbook Huang Jun.
Pharmacological activity: Schisandrin B has the effect of reducing serum alanine aminotransferase. Mice took 50mg/kg orally every day, and the activity of liver alanine transaminase was 4.7, compared with 116 in the control group, which decreased significantly. It has a strong reducing effect on the increase of SgPT caused by carbon tetrachloride and thioacetamide poisoning in mice. 100mg/kg dose can prolong the sleep time of barbital chemicalbook sodium in mice, and the effect of intraperitoneal injection is stronger than that of intragastric administration.
Clinical application of Schisandra chinensis:
1. Treat neurasthenia and neurosis.
2. Treatment of acute chronic hepatitis, elevated transaminase caused by psychotropic drugs, and liver cirrhosis.
3. Treat chronic bronchitis, emphysema, cough and dyspnea.
4. Treat the symptoms of body deficiency, fatigue, fatigue, palpitation, excessive sweating after the disease.
