Introduction: Apigenin is a biological flavonoid compound, which can be found in various plants and herbs. Chamomile tea is very rich in content and plays a role in reducing anxiety when taken in high doses. At higher doses, it can be a sedative.

Purpose: The flavonoid contained in apigenin is a kind of plant flavonoid, which is found to inhibit cell proliferation by blocking cell cycle at G2/M stage. Inhibition of growth through cell cycle arrest and induction of apoptosis seems to be related to the induction of p53. PMA-mediated tumor promotion is inhibited by inhibiting protein kinase C and the resulting inhibition of oncogene expression. The study also reported the inhibition of deoxyribonucleic acid reconnection catalyzed by topoisomerase I and the enhancement of gap junction intercellular communication.
