▶ What is ginsenoside
Ginseng is one of the most popular precious Chinese herbs in the world, ginsenoside is the essence of ginseng, the so-called concentrate is the essence, it accounts for only about 4% of the content in ginseng, especially the most abundant content in the side root, and people think that the useless buds, ginseng skin and leaves, in fact, also have medicinal value, which contains ginsenoside content reached 39.5%.
It's a sterol compound, triterpenoid saponins. It is found only in plants of the ginseng genus. Ginsenosides are considered as the active ingredients in ginseng, so they become the target of research. Because ginsenosides affect multiple metabolic pathways, their effects are complex, and the effects of various ginsenosides are difficult to isolate.
Quote -- "Shennong Herbal Classic" describes that ginseng has "the main tonic five viscera, peace of mind, settle the soul, stop panic palpitations, eliminate evil, bright eyes, long take light body and prolong life." Modern medicine and pharmacology have proved that ginseng has multiple pharmacological activities such as anti-tumor, regulation of central nervous system, regulation of immune system, anti-arrhythmia and anti-hemolysis.
▶ Types and chemical structure of ginsenosides
The research on ginsenosides by domestic and foreign scholars dates back to a long time ago, but in today's society, the research on ginsenosides is still extremely hot, and more than 150 kinds of ginsenoside monomers have been isolated and identified from ginseng plants.
Ginsenosides all have a similar basic structure, and all contain gonane steroid nuclei composed of 17 carbon atoms arranged into four rings. They are divided into two groups depending on the structure of the glycoside: the dammarane type and the oleanane type.
There are two types of dammaranes: panaxanediols, which contain the most ginsenosides, such as ginsenosides Rb1, Rb2, Rb3, Rc, Rd, Rg3, Rg5, CK, Rh2 and glucosidyl PD; Panaxantriols - including ginsenosides Re, Rg1, Rg2, Rh1 and glycoside PT.
At present, there are more than 30 kinds of saponins, 22 kinds of Korean white ginseng, 15 kinds of Chinese ginseng and 14 kinds of American ginseng.
▶ Main pharmacological effects and related applications of ginsenosides
The experimental results showed that ginsenoside could significantly inhibit the formation of catalase in brain and liver, reduce the content of lipofuscin in cerebral cortex and liver, and also increase the content of superoxide dismutase and catalase in blood, which had antioxidant effect. In addition, studies have shown that ginsenosides can enhance body immunity, relieve toxins, anti-fatigue, repair skin, antioxidant, anti-allergy, reduce pigmentation, improve memory and other effects.
1. Used in the medical and health care industry, can be formulated into anti-fatigue, anti-aging and brain health products;
2. Used in beauty and cosmetics industry, can be formulated into freckle, reduce wrinkles, activate skin cells, enhance skin elasticity of cosmetics;
3. Can also be used as a food additive. Efficacy: warm, sweet taste, slightly bitter. Big tonifying vitality, strong heart solid out, calming and Shengjin.
Summary: With the rapid development of science and technology and the continuous expansion of application fields, the application prospects of ginsenosides will become broader and broader, bringing more innovative vitality and possibilities to health and beauty industries.
